Air Jordan X Retro “Steel”
No one would have thought that these would be back on the sneaker market, especially after its 2005 release, but they’re back! Jordan Brand has re-retroed the Air Jordan X Retro “Steel” in its original form and build from 1994. Bringing back memories of MJ getting down on his hands and knees and kissing the floor in Chicago goodbye, this shoe originally released during His Airness’ first retirement, while he was playing baseball in the Arizona Fall League for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Now, these Steels are back for a release this weekend, Saturday, October 12, 2013 in a full family size run.
The re-retroed classic is back, in true form, as the next installment of the Air Jordan Holiday 2013 line up. The white base of tumbled leather is highlighted with light Steel Grey eyelets and accents. The black and Steel Grey color scheme is also used in the inner lining in a checker board pattern. Going down to the bottom of the shoe, the classic outsole features a list of Michael Jordan’s career accomplishments in the same grey and black color code, and the only pop of color is in the Varsity Red Jumpman logo to finish off the outsole.
